Slider Extravaganza Slated to Celebrate 10 Years of the Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational

In the spirit of celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational, event organizers at REAL Watersports, Inc. (REAL) are excited to announce a major twist in this year’s event, which is set to take place in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, USA, from May 30th to June 5th.

Traditionally, the event has always featured three disciplines: Surf, Slicks, and Sliders. However, to commemorate a decade of legendary riding, sport-changing competition and epic parties, the 2015 Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational is going all in on Sliders this year. No joke, the entire week will feature kite park madness, set in the world-renowned REAL Slider Park.

“The first Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational in 2006 was about like-minded riders getting together to push the sport of kiteboarding in a new direction. The 2015 Wind Voyager Triple-S celebrates 10 years of progression and innovation, with an all new, all in sliders format. More time in the REAL Slider Park, more progression, more time to enjoy the Triple-S energy and stoke. And yes, it’s stilled called the Triple-S, because this year, the all-in sliders format means triple the prize money for the winners. All-in sliders…All-in prize purse. The World is Not Ready….” – Trip Forman, Co-Founder of REAL and the Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational.

After considerable deliberation, organizers decided to go back to the heart of the Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational and go all out by maximizing athletes’ time on the water — in the state-of-the-art park. Historically, the Slider discipline has always been the most anticipated event of the three, and the most popular amongst athletes. “To get to this point,” commented Jason Slezak, Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational Co-Founder and long-time competitor, “we listened to the riders and created the new format to take this year’s riding to the next level.”

Internationally recognized as the crown jewel of wakestyle kiteboarding competition, the 2015 Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational will showcase the talents of the most progressive and prestigious wakestyle kiteboarders on the planet. The format this year will pit riders against one another in high-stakes heats and laid-back freeriding sessions in the world’s premiere kite park.

While roughly 40 of the world’s finest wakestyle riders will be hand picked for the event, athletes all around the globe will have two other chances to score a coveted invite to the 2015 Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational: 1) submit a Wildcard Video by May 3rd, 2015 (2 winners get an invite), or 2) compete in the Wind Voyager Triple-S Open on May 29 – 30 (2 winners get the final 2 invites).

Without a doubt the action on the water will be epic this year, plus, with 10 parties and 10 bands on tap to celebrate the event’s 10-year anniversary, the nightlife will be off the charts too.
