Video: Annelous Lammert’s Winning Wildcard Entry

Prior to the 2016 Wind Voyager Triple-S Wildcard Video Contest, you might not have heard of 23 year old Dutch kiteboarder Annelous Lammerts. Having only picked up kiting 5 years ago in the often chilly waters at Brouwersdam, Annelous is quickly building a name for herself in the wakestyle kiteboarding scene. Now traveling the world and competing full time, she has come a long way from her salad days, when she was riding her bicycle 20 miles each day to practice at her home spots in the Netherlands.

After competing in Europe for 2 years and earning the titles of European Champion and Vice European Champion, Annelous set her sights on the Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational. With limited access to sliders and park features, Lammerts and a small crew of supporters assembled a few rails and ramps and got busy filming a Wildcard Video Contest part. Her video won 1st place in the Wildcard Video Contest, granting her a coveted invite to compete against the world’s best in the 2016 Wind Voyager Triple-S Invitational. Is this Wind Voyager Triple-S rookie ready to challenge the field of veteran riders for a spot on the podium in 2016? Tell us what you think, leave your comments below…
